WIFI Thermostats

Yes the wave of the future is here. It may sound a little over the top but being able to control Thermostat remotely can offer some great saves on your energy bill. You can expect to save up to 300-400 dollars a year in energy costs with a programmable thermostat, which is well worth the cost of one up front.  The thermostat will gradually adjust your home’s temperature as efficient as possible rather then just turning up the heat at 5 pm for you to be home from work.

The nest has been getting rave reviews and it certainly good looking too.  It offers a great variety of features that can save you money but it cant handle multi-stage cooling systems. But if you think it’s the right fit; the Nest can program itself in about a week of use to your lifestyle. Check out all features: http://www.nest.com/inside-and-out/

3 Reasons Why You Should Switch To R-410A Refrigerant

R-22. For Nearly a century it has been used the refrigerant of choice in AC systems. It mostly known but Freon and offered a great was to cool the air. But now that governments across the world are outlawing it for its possible environment effects. There is now a safer alternative to Freon based refrigerant call R-401A. Below are three reasons to switch.

Better For The Environment
R-401A refrigerant is much safer for the environment than R-22. Studies have shown that R-22 possibly eats away at the ozone layer. Some inexperienced HVAC technicians may also release the as in the atmosphere accidentally. When trying to fill up a customer’s system.
Less Expensive
Due to the GOV and Montreal Protocol Act of 1987 Freon can only be used on current systems that use it and must be imported making it very expensive get in the states. R-410A is a low cost alternative should run you a fraction of the cost of R-22
Quieter
Yup that’s right R-410A is much quieter solution then the old Freon solution. Making it that much better for use in the home so you can enjoy your in home cooling system without all the noise.

Additional benefits of installing an R-410A unit:

• R-410A uses a synthetic lubricant that is more soluble so it can mix and circulate more efficiently to keep the compressor and other moving parts lubricated, reducing wear and extending their life.

• It also incorporates smaller, heavier duty “scroll-type” compressors that are quieter and operate with less damaging vibration than older compressors which operate on R-22.

• In addition, compressors with R-410A run cooler.

• Economically beneficial, it allows higher heat transfer than R-22, which results in a more efficient operation.

• R-410A does not contain chlorine, therefore it is not damaging to the ozone layer.
